My own line — built from the best of the strains above, bred for the African yard.
The Juul Home Line is my own family line, drawn from the best individuals of the strains I keep and bred over many seasons towards a single, settled type.
The aim is a fowl that has the height and carriage of the Mianwali, the bone and substance of the Sindhi, and the head and bearing of the Rampuri — in a bird hardy enough to thrive in the South African sun on a working farm.
Every pairing is recorded, every bird judged against the standard rather than against my hopes, and only what improves the line is kept. Perfection is the goal; it is never reached, which is precisely what keeps the work worth doing.
